There are 3 versions of the Assimil German basic course. Since the audio supports have always been German only, they are common to all "localizations" of the original French book, and have been titled in German:
1) L'allemand sans peine (193x, Alphonse Chérel)
English adaptation: German Without Toil
Audio: Deutsch ohne Mühe
2) Le nouvel allemand sans peine (1984, Hilde Schneider)
English adaptation: German Made Easy
Audio: Deutsch ohne Mühe heute
As of now, all "adaptations" are based upon this (excellent) version.
But the French original book is not sold anymore in France.
3) L'Allemand - Collection Sans peine (2004, Maria Römer)
No adaptation yet.
Audio: Deutsch
The first 2 versions were already posted on this site. Here is the audio support for the Maria Römer's book, the only one which is presently sold in France and likely to be adapted to other languages in the near future.
In my opinion, this new version is a very good one, but the previous version was already excellent and is still very useful...
