Produced in the late 1970s by the BBC,
then broadcasted in many countries,
and adapted in many languages.

FOLLOW ME! is a series of television programmes produced by the BBC in the late 1970s as a crash course in the English language. The show was hosted and narrated by the British actor Francis Matthews.
It was very popular in many overseas countries as a first introduction to English; in 1983, one hundred million people watched the show in China alone, featuring Kathy Flower as a TV presenter. You can find more details here:

As a matter of fact, the success was incredible everywhere: it was adapted and sold in more than 80 countries! It is still considered by experts as the best English course ever published by the BBC, and also the world’s most famous English course.
BBC DVD ENGLISH is the new updated version of Follow Me!. It is divided in two language levels (Beginners and Intermediate), and the complete course comprises a total of 30 didactical units, contained in 30 DVD's and 6 books (or 30 partworks).
Each DVD is divided in three sections:
- Presentation: Entertaining everyday situations played by English actors using progressive language based on the specifications of the Council of Europe’s experts. The students may choose between watching them without subtitles or with subtitles in English or in their native language.
- Explanation: A tutor in the learner’s language explains the grammar and vocabulary used in the Presentation.
- Practice: The tutor proposes different exercises and drills for the students to practice what they have learnt in the previous sections.
BBC MULTIMEDIA ENGLISH is the interactive version of BBC DVD ENGLISH and consists of 30 CD-ROM's and 6 books or 30 partworks (optional, the CD-ROM's can be used without them). The 30 bilingual CD-ROM's includes more than 5 hours of video, 2,300 exercises and 30 evaluation-tests.
BBC MULTIMEDIA ENGLISH features its exclusive On line checking system that automatically corrects every mistake made by the student when doing the exercises and takes him/her to the corresponding explanation.
BBC MULTIMEDIA ENGLISH allows the students to:
- Record their own pronunciation and compare it with the perfect pronunciation of British and American natives.
- Instantly consult vocabulary including all words and expressions used in the course, either in English or in their language.
- Check their progress unit by unit in specially made self-evaluation tests.
- Produce statistics with the historical results of the tests of each member of the family using the course.
BBC DVD ENGLISH PLUS comprises all components of BBC DVD ENGLISH plus all components of BBC MULTIMEDIA ENGLISH. It is, without any doubt, the most complete self-study English Course produced to date.
The complete product consists of 30 DVD's, 30 CD-ROM's and their corresponding partworks, all bilingual in English and the student’s language: French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish.

I was very surprised when I discovered nothing of this masterwork in language teaching had been published on uz-translations yet. And I decided to create a major news giving a general framework to welcome all contributions related to it. I believe it will be easier for all of us, and I hope my (too) long description will make the story of this product less confusing. Please, if you have any stuff that can complete this news, post it here and make this news a new one so that other users can know it.
Don't be surprised too (the reason is just above!), if in spite of the title news, what I post today is "only" the full set of BBC MULTIMEDIA ENGLISH CD-ROM's (I don't have the optional books or partworks). It's an independent set that was separately sold anyway, and it can be used as a complete course, even without the optional books.
Don't ask for mirrors, I will add them in the coming days.
